There is a surprisingly large range of museums, both public and private, for such a tiny country. Ordino is especially well-served in this respect and hosts the Areny-Plandolit estate (an XVIIIth century nobleman's house), the National Postal Museum and two private collections. The amazing Museum of the Miniature (where whole camel-trains and the like appear in the eye of a needle) and the St George Museum (a saint common to Russia, Catalonia and England) displaying Russian icons. Staying in the Ordino parish, up the valley in La Cortinada, there is a restored sawmill (serradora ) and forge at Casa Pal.

In the capital Andorra la Vella you will surely want to visit the beautifully preserved XVthC Casa de la Vall   (The House of the Valleys), our tiny national parliament building. This even has its own mediaeval kitchen and dormitory so that the legislators could stay the night. It is also world-famous for having the tiny 28 seat parliament chamber upstairs; the Criminal Court (Tribunal de Corts :) on the ground floor and the former prison cells below - a nicely integrated system.

In Escaldes, there is the Viladomat museum of sculpture, an extensive antique doll collection and a museum of model (Andorran) buildings. In Sispony, in La Massana parish, you will see the newly-opened Casa Rull museum, which is an authentic Andorran village farmhouse in every detail. Last, but certainly not least, the National Motor Museum in the main street of Encamp is an enthusiast's dream. It is chock-full of the most amazing vehicles from the very first beginnings of motoring to racing cars from recent decades. There is even the famous German motorcycle halftrack that the Andorrans 'liberated' from a Wehrmacht patrol when they foolishly tried to 'invade' Andorra during WWII.
