The Resorts history -
The Soldeu/El Tarter sector opened as an independent resort in 1964 but is now part of the GRANDVALIRA macro-resort. Extensive development over more than 25 years has given it the most advanced lift systems and piste conditions in the whole of the Pyrenees.
You will never go hungry either, with many full-service restaurants and self-service snack bars on the slopes catering to every tatse and pocket. You can even 'ski-down' for lunch in Pas de la Casa town! For beginners or those wanting to improve their skiing, the ski school is staffed by over 250 instructors, many of them British.
The Canillo/Forn sector of the station is served by an excellent, modern multi-million-euro cabin lift system.
One GrandValira pass covers you for every sector of the resort: Pas de la Casa, Grau-Roig, Soldeu/El Tarter and Canillo/Forn and we challenge you to complete every run in a week. It can be done - just!
